Planning Board Vacant Position

The Town of Denmark is seeking to fill one vacant position on the Planning Board. This position would be appointed by the Select Board to fill a resignation and would expire Town Meeting of June 2024. This six-month period would be a great “trial period” to see if you would like to run for office.

The Planning Board reviews and decides all development proposals and certain Shoreland Zoning permits in Denmark as required by the Town’s Zoning Ordinance. The Planning Board is also tasked with revising Denmark’s Zoning Ordinance and providing consistency with the Comprehensive Plan. The Planning Board meets the last Thursday of each month as necessary.
